Anyone here use a Hydraulic Winch for an H3?

Just curious if anybody here is using a Hydraulic Winch on their H3?



Between the cost of a new high cranking battery & wiring and the risk of submerging my future winch on occasion I started looking at some hydraulic winches. I have come accross a few more affordable options from MileMarker recently.

The only additional cost I see is anything I need to rig it up to the truck systems, luckily Princess auto has an entire section devoted to hydraulics so I figure it should only be about 100$ or so of fittings and heavy duty lines.



Just wondering if the hydraulic winch will put too much stress on my power steering pump or put any of the vechile systems at risk. Also about the installation, how difficult it is to install.



Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated,

Another follow up question for anybody who has ever installed one of these. Any tips or things to watch out for on the installation?
