Hey everyone i own a 2000 H1 soft top with aftermarket rims and tires and i am planning a road trip to Miami Florida in the spring. I live in Burlington, Ontario so its about a 1455mi journey. My truck has about 105,000mi on it but i am not worried about the added miles from the trip, im just wondering if anyone would reccomend a trip that long in an H1. The longest ive ever driven it is about 3 hours into ski country every now and then. The cost of gas isnt a big worry either (even though it will be outrageous <img src='

The truck has already had some work done like a rebuilt fuel injector pump and replaced worn parts so it is in very good condition.

I would check out HML(Hummer Mailing List) and get some contacts of follow H1 owners along the way just incase you do find yourself in a pinch.
I would also carry a spare PMD and Fuel Filter at the least. I would also have Phil Robertson give it a quick check over to make sure all your ball joints are in good shape as well as make sure there are no major leaks or any lines(fuel, ctis, brake) rubbing on anything.
Other than that I see no problems with it.

Truck will have no problem doing the trip,I brought my 01 back from NC thru TN. My truck had been sitting in a lot or 4, for the previous year.Just do not run the beast too long over 65. They are not designed for the high speed. As above, a good check over should be done. Add Travis from Rubberduck4x4 to your list,he is in Cinnci. area Good luck with the trip!

I got my H1 from Florida in 07. When I picked it up I just made sure the fluids were good and hit the road. 22hrs from Naples to Queenston/Lewiston and enjoyed every minute of it.
