Looking for a private mechanic to do some H1 work on my 2002 Wagon.

I've been getting ripped off by Shaw GMC too long.

need the following work done:

- new power steering pump installed (need to find one first)

- Power steering fluid flush

- need new front brakes (also need the parts)

- power brakes fluid flush

Also, I have some "fluid" leaking from my front wheel, maybe the bearing need to be repacked/sealed???

Can anyone help???

Can e-mail me directly:

Ray

maximusinc@shaw.ca

Thanks in advance all.

Cheers,

Ray

power steering pump can be purchased from the dealer, scrap yard--2000+ Savanna 35 series, or parts guy from this vehicle.

When you do the pump, most fluid is already changed, so I do not think a flush is needed.

The brake flush, good and bad, nice to keep fluid fresh and clean, flushing could move dirt into the actuaters and cause problems.

A good and old saying ---If it ain't broken, leave it alone.

The pads are ATD788M purchased at the local parts guy. fronts are easy to do ,where the rear you need a 3rd hand.

The fluid leak... Fix first!!!!!

this is probably the gear hub seals. You will notice air leakage problem as well.

Check in your area for any other H1 owners to help in the fixing the first time. After that, it's just time and money. With a little cursing and cuts.

Also check to find a repair manual /disc for this year. It gives step by step instructions.NOT the Chilton's or other,,, AMG only book.

Good luck, any info required, just ask!!

PS: be patient when working on these, hot heads cause more repair. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

I use E-Mortal Customs for all my work on my H2, the owner is a former Hummer tech from Shaw who got tired of their crap as well..... Shaw is the Ultimate rip off and also incompitent! 3 botched repairs lead me to E-mortal and have been happy ever since.... Just hate the location as I am in the NW and they are in Ogden.

You can also PM Humybby as he has a specific guy in Okotoks that he only uses for his 03... and he loves his wagon so speaks volumnes for his mechanic!

Shaw GMC is the worst they wrecked my 99 H1 !

They cost me over 15k in repairs to find out it was a total rip off.

They cut the wire harness in the dog house to so called fix my truck after they blew the motor! From the first time they tried to fix it!

DO NOT USE SHAW GMC EVER!
