I am buying a 93 H1 Hummer with the deisel engine. Since I know nothing about these vehicles I have a few questions.

Where all the engines the same in the 93s?

Which fuel pump does the truck require?

What is the vehicle weight for the 4 door with the small truck box, in case I need to trailer it back home?

The owner says it was running last time he used it but will not start now. He thinks it is just the fuel pump. Any things I should look for beyond just the fuel pump?

Regards Tim

All engines the same - 6.2 detroit diesel

The Injection Pump in a 92/93 is the stanadyne db2. In later years it is the db4.

the "fuel pump" is an electric lift pump. The truck will start on a full tank of fuel with a bad electric pump but it is a hard start. If you ran out of fuel with a bad lift pump, it likely will not start .

Soft top or hard top? figure 9000 lbs. Also the width is more a problem than the weight as it will not fit on a regular multi car carrier trailer.

There are lots of thing to look at. What is the milage and cost?
