Does anyone know where I can get a pair of rear H2 Springs with a 3" Lift for a 2008 H2? I can get them within a lift kit but would like the springs on their own.... Image

Many Thanks

I don't think you'll find a straight up spring replacement that will give you that much extra height without going to a full blown lift.

These are the Samco ones I was looking at to replace the air bags. I like the idea of getting an extra inch of travel both up and down more then just pushing the truck up higher.

I Think I'll go with the spacer then - I know it works for Brian so I should be ok.

I would definitely recconmend this company as they are who did my shackles on the H3 and I loved them!!! Extremely good quality!

Keep in mind to - you will probably need a spacer as well to maintain the same height - but definitely go with these springs as you'd only need a small spacer. or none at all if you don't mind an inch and a bit drop....

Where are you getting this drop idea from? The ride height should be 1" more than stock. The drop they are referring to is the additional downward travel you can get (provided your shocks have the additional stroke).

A spacer is the easiest and quickest to add an inch or two (unless you have air, then you just push a button), but you might want to either swap the shocks or how they're mounted to match. That's where my air set up is limited, the extra 2 inches in the spring adds height, but that takes away 2 inches straight away from the downward travel as well as being stiffer. It also tries to self level which limits the articulation I can get on the rear axle.

Basing on what you just said... On your truck you have the back up 2 inches with the air ride.... With the Samco Springs with .5 to 1 inch height increase in stock - that's a 1 - 1.5 decrease in what you have now as you are already up the 2.

So I think I'll do the Spacer and replace out all 4 shocks with new Bilsteins and hopefully good to go. Need to close one more good deal in order to have the funds though as I'm looking at about 6 g's for just these mods....

OK, I'm picking up what you're laying down now. I'm fine with loosing that extra inch in favour of more travel, flexibility and reliability.

LOL - exactly! having the drivers side sink like that really makes you think, doesn't it?

You don't need that much to make a dramtic improvement. I was going to go with the 3 inch spacer but calmed down. From my research - 2.5" in the max to go without having to ajust angles on driveshafts etc, so I think being a bit below that will be better in the long run.

Had all my fluids changed yesterday... Holy %^!@$%!67 almost a grand later. BUT - wow does she run much better now so obviously it was time and so money well spent.

H3 is sold now so seriously looking into the rubber & height mods to the H2. Ordered the Billet spacers from the States already so just finalizing on rims & rubber and hopefully good to go for June....
