I use front military signal LED lights, you can get them in OD green, Tan or Black. I think I paid 170 each for them, it's pricey. There's 3 or 4 military style connectors so you need to make up a military plug to GM weather pak connector for the signal, and park lights. Ground is just a loop that goes onto a bolt. I think David over at hummerpartsguy.com did up a few small conversion harnesses that makes them plug and play.
No other modifications are needed for the front signals, but for the rear ones there's more issues. The milspec rear LED lights aren't DOT/MOT legal, they don't reflect, so what the US military did is install an additional round reflector on the rear of the bodywork, but that can get ugly on an H1. There's other issues as well, the cruise control "looks" at the resistance of the brake light circuit and using LED's will throw it off. You'll need new hazard and signal relays and you may need to solder in a resister on the trailer brake aux wire circuit under the dash.
AM General's civilian LED light kit is a better ideal, it includes 2 Grote LED tail lights [with super bright reverse lights], the resistor already installed into a wire loop that you splice in, and 1 flasher relay for 99+ trucks [98 and earlier use 2 relays so you would go aftermarket for an older truck to source the relays].
The AM general kit runs around 200 and includes everything plus illustrated instructions. It's plug and play.
I'd go military LED for the front signals, and the AMG tail light kit for the rear lights. If you check the paint thread here, there's a picture of my truck with the front LED's installed [trucklite]

That's if you go LED, it's a huge difference and people will see your running lights from miles away <img src='

For the old non-LED lamps they are cheaper but will run only on 24v so you have to modify them to run on 12v somehow.

Those lights are not availible in Canada. We would have to go to the states and get them.Have tried with no luck so far.
