Stolen Steps

Please be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell 2 H2 Hummer steps. Last week after returning from off roading, I threw two of the steps on so that my wife and I could easily get in and out going back and forth to work, the other two I left in my garage. On Friday I took the truck into the shop for some work, and overnight someone stole the 2 steps.

Now, I don't mind climbing up into the truck; but my wife and daughter climbing up in their dresses, or my parents and less nimble friends might not find the climb quite as enjoyable.

Are you serious...someone stole them right out of the parking lot at the garage??? Let me guess, the garage is NOT liable for anything stolen while the vehicle is on the property...

They are going to search for replacements, or reimburse me in someway; but i'm not holding my breath. Sucks that someone stole them, but whether it happened there or in my driveway, it is just not worth the hassle to go through insurance for them. :-(. Just sucks cause it is a big step to get in.

Well guys, keep your eyes open.. Norm's steps were unique, not black like the regular ones..they should be easy to spot if someone else ends up with them... Norm, you got a photo??

The steps where originally painted black, but since they where peeling badly I stripped them last fall. There is still some areas showing paint, but mostly just bare aluminum.

Thanks to Derek, I was able to buy 3 used steps that were for sale on Kijiji. The owner had one break, and got a full (4) replacement set from the US, so decided to sell the old ones. Now, I'll have a spare if one breaks! Two of the three are black powder coated, the third is shiney black paint. Not sure how I want to finish them so that are all the same, but at least I have a set of steps again! Thanks Derek!
