So here goes and I type this as I am very pi$$ed so please excuse me if I am a bit all over the place.
About an hour or 2 ago I go out to get in the H2 and drive with my family shopping, I have not been out or near our trucks all morning and they are parked in my driveway, where they always are parked, along with our car. I see a rock on the driveway and first thing I think about is that someone threw it at the truck but as I do not see any damage on the truck near where the rock is, I really think I might be a bit overreacting bout thinking that first but I decide to look around the truck anyways, it has been raining all day and the truck is dripping water, hard to see much, then I look on the ground, actually Anthony see another couple of rocks on the other side of the truck, both the size of softballs, I look more closely at the truck and on the passenger side, between the front and rear window there is a bench about the size of a big ROCK, bingo this is where they hit it.. DAMN am I mad><img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I have Anthony go tell Julie while I call police, I fill a complaint and then Julie comes out and says she thought the alarm was going off this morning around 02:00 but she also heard a lot of firetrucks and other emergency trucks and from that vibration, sometimes it sets off the shock sensor on the truck so she never thought it would have been something else, plus the truck was in OUR OWN DRIVEWAY!!!
Anyways the police call back and finish the report, give us a number for our file but damn what can I do...I won't fix the damage, but it dented both doors and not that our paint job is perfect because of the offroading but that is different, we did those ourselves, this dent and damage really gets me fuming..I looked around my dead end street and no one has rocks like this so who ever did it came prepared..
what the heck would even make some one think this is a cool thing to do?? Camera will be going up soon around my house, last year they stole my lights off the top of the truck while we were in Europe on vacation..
Here is a photo of the damage, taken with my blackberry sorry, i know it isn't the best and you can see me a bit in the reflection but damn I am not in a good mood now!!

What a bunch of crap, I hope you get a lead on who did this so you can personally shove that rock right down their throat.

Man I don't even know what to say when things like this happen, it's just that feeling of frustration that's almost indescribable. Hope everything works out in your favour, and the cameras are not a bad idea either.

Re: Our H2 Gets Vandalised
Stupid, stupid, stupid, grrrr.
We all work hard for what we have, what we enjoy and what we do. Then someone comes along and messes it up for no apparent reason, no excuse, no just cause. I agree with you Derek, it is one thing when you scratch it yourself, it is another thing when someone f*s with it.
Look on the bright side... they'll have to paint the whole truck to get the paint to match. I don't know of any paint that will match those off-road badges of honor!

Hey D, don't know what to say man except for I'd be f**kin pissed off. Install the cameras and sleep outside with a shotgun full of rock salt.. I hope you find out who did this and that they are made to pay somehow. That really is pissy....cowards that do stuff like this should be shot. And I thought the scratches left on my passenger side door outside of Home Depot yesterday was bad...rocks.....really. That was premeditated for sure..probably same ones who stole the lights....

Re: Our H2 Gets Vandalised
Vanadalism when your truck is parked at home sucks.
I had someone dumping fluid/food on my truck for a few days when it was parked in my Condo's garage. They didn't know I had a camera setup for desert racing chase footage, so I installed it, flipped it 180 degrees and left it recording overnight. Didn't catch them after the camera was setup, but it was during US College spring break, so there was a lot of college aged visitors around.
I wouldn't say it's an eco thing, could be a bunch of kids causing trouble.
In my case it wasn't a big deal, I just hosed the veggies, off, given the passive agressive form of attack, I suspect a vegan took offense to by biodiesel: This truck is a vegetarian bumper sticker
Otherwise my Neighbors H2 and Gwagen would have been hit if it was an SUV thing.
I'd probably invest in some form of high resolution, low light digital camera recording system if its an ongoing issue. As a Canadian working in the US, it seems the amount of anti-hummer/anti-suv sentiment is dying down.
Back home I find folks jump on the bandwagon of a cause after other folks in other countries has moved on.

^^^^- Ditto on Alberta.
I remember when I lived in Toronto, and was H1 shopping most of the H1's at the time [2001-2004] was being sold in Alberta, including most of the 2 Door pickups I was looking for!
Alberta loves big trucks.
Same in Newfoundland where I come from, very SUV friendly, even the premier, Danny Willians has shown up to a few off road events in a tricked out Jeep.
