The OEM for Hummer compressors is Thomas.

They are rebuildable. I took it to a forklift/airtool shop near LAX airport and they cleaned it up and rebuilt it for me for $75 I think. A lot cheaper than the $1000 for a new one from AM General. I'd check around with industrial/commercial tools repair and service, there should be a ton where you area or in Mississauga near the airport. You can check to see if there's a Thomas distributor in the area who sells rebuild kits.

On a side note, I found out the H2 air suspension kit also uses the exact same compressor, but painted black, it sits in a cradle with the hose and valve assembly for the H2, if you can get a H2 air suspension kit for cheap, then you can rip the compressor out of that. I've seen them for sale for $399.

You may have to pull out the H1 compressor and get the model number from the casing, they'll get confused if you tell them it's from an H1, you're basically looking for a 100% duty cycle compressor of a certain type.

If it's this one, I was told you can get the kit, and just unbolt and unscrew the air lines and use that compressor. There was a blowout online a few months back where people were selling these for around $400.

I haven't done it myself personally so I'm not 100% on it, but if you got a kit laying around or a cheap kit availble it's worth trying...

Just call up T.C. and get the large ARB compressor. Its an easy mod to put in and lighter then stock or H2's which will help you on fuel cost. LOL

I got a Compressor today from a H2 and they look bang on the same....I will be coming to see Phil soon...I believe this could solve all my issues.. well now I need some OEM rims....anyways I will see if Phil can help me first with the swap, like I said it looks easy but I believe I will need Phil's expertise to make this happen...

Thanks Steve at Master Mechanics for the Part!!
