Re: DRL diagram
From humvee.net database.
The website below has wiring diagrams.
Hope this helps.

Since there seems to be some interest in Daytime running lights, I can provide a few points which may help some listmembers. Most daytime running lights run the high beams at reduced brightness when ever the engine is running and the regular lighting is off. This will allow the bulbs to have an extremely long life while still being bright enough for DRL's. When you turn on the headlights the DRL function is disabled. In addition, many OEM vehicle installations have a built in delay that holds off the DRL's until after x number of seconds when the vehicle is started so that you dont have the extra drain on the battery while cranking the engine. Good feature in real cold weather starts. You could just use after market lights or something but if you want factory type DRL's it is possible and VERY easy to do. I did this on my 93 4dr and it has worked great for 3 yrs now. You can call a company called Adamson Industries who make and sell police vehicle equipment at 1-800-232-0162. They sell a solid state module which hooks up very easy to high beams, 12 v bat, 12 v. ign, and running light circuits, that does the whole thing. They also provide a lead that you can switch to disable the DRL's when tactically needed by police. I hooked it up to my park brake lamp switch so that whenever I put the parking brake on the DRL's go off. It also will provide alternating headlights for those who want that. The unit is shown on page 45 of their catalog and is made by Sound Off Co. who make most of the police headlights flashers. It sells for only $42.95. Glenn 4rdht <hr>Here is a site that I have come across that has detailed instructions on how to add day time running lights: http://www.redhummer.com/myhummer/dtrl/index.html

Re: DRL diagram
Hi
the easiest way to do the DRL is to go to canadian tire and get theirDRL module. It costs $25 or so. You can wire the complete thing fromunder the dash by using the T connectors with the kit. I have done iton 2 trucks, it takes about 20 minutes.
If you want, I can provide the wire colors that you have to tap into. You also have to run 1 wire to the fuse panel, also under thedash.
You also have the option of turning on the headlights with the DRL orjust the marker Lights. I think that just the marker lights is enoughto pa*s the DRL rules.

Re: DRL diagram
Hi
As far as I know, the DRL module from AMG is the same as the one from canadina tire. it is made by a company in quebec.
If the bottom is held on the plastic case with 4 pins and comes off pretty easy, then it is the one.
Now the bad part... The installation instruction for the cable is notin the manuals from what I can see, ask dave, he has more books andmight have the info, there is nothing up to the 1998 manuals.
In worse case, let me know the color of the wires that come out of theDRL module, and the color that they convert into when they go to thecable. With this I can tell you which wires to plug into. There shouldbe a T already in the wires you need to plug into (if it is a newertruck, not a 92-93) so connection is pretty simple. You still need torun the wire to the fuse panel /ground or use the iunderdash ground oneither side of the steering column (this is the ring terminal).
Check with Dave at BH first and I if no luck then let me know.Regardelsss of how you figure it out, best to post it here for othersto see if they need it in the future.
