Guys,

excuse me while I b*t#h a little <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oapbox.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':soapbox:' />

Just got my renewal and my rates have gone through the roof, not sure why, but DAMN!! I have no accidents, tickets, or any claims and yet still my rates are high enough that they could feed a small village for a year. Anyways I am looking to shop around now as I am supposed to be getting discounts but apparently after three cars you become their Cash Cow. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ngHead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':banghead:' />

When I called to ask why, they said basically here you go <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... adbang.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':headbang:' /> this is the best we can do, so I said <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ySheep.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':holysheep:' /> and again I bang my head

Who are you guys with in Ontario and how good are the rates? I need to make a move this month, October.

I want to do three cars and of course my house, any insurance men out there?? <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... rgreen.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

thanks

Derek

For sure to find the best rate you should go with a insurance broker, he works for you.

If you call or go directly to an insurance bureau, they only sell their product, so chances to get best rate is slim.

If you work and are part of an professionnal association there are some insurance compagny that deal with them and you get very good rates.

Im insured with meloche monex ( in montreal ) and got a great deal under 1100$ for my new 09 H3.

But Broker is the best way to get best price.

Seems like a little high but you are in a big city. Mine for a car and 2 H1's is around 3300/yr.Fully insured but with high deductibles on the H1's.Try upping your deductibles from 500 to 2500.If the hummer gets hurt, it will take a lot more to fix it!! $2000/rim(alum H1 rim) ,600/tire hood 2000,any type of body work 1000, doors 1600/door .

I laughed at my agent when I did this, told him the price of a rim+tire ,now to get that damage, what else is gone$$$$$$$

Derek find out if you can get an employee discount ask your H.R. people Kevin get's one from his we're with Co-Operators direct and it was 125 then it was to be 150 this year one bump (the Sunfire) and its 232 per month. They insure just the truck for us and we're in the highest rate area Downtown Toronto in Ontario. Another reason to move 60. bucks a year to have vehicle in town then parking permits now they will charge people for parking in their driveways. Toronto's Transit City Plan make cars soo expensive to have everyone is forced to Transit then raise prices to ride so everyone rides Bikes then licence and tax them till everyone walks.

Result no traffic jams just people living in their offices.
