Hello to all....has anyone heard of or used the galaxy 1000? www.galaxy1000.com ...it boasts to easily plug in (less than 3 minutes) to your onstar equipped vehicle and replace / use the onstar speakers etc to operate and sync with your bluetooth enabled cellphone for hands free driving. The website has videos which appear to do the job! cost is $249US..does anyone have any input or other suggestions? If I read this right, this device is just an add-on to your onstar module to make it Bluetooth compatible so that you can receive call from your cell via your radio. Today most onstar vehucle have that module ( bluetooth) enable. Didnt have it in my H3 06, have it now in my 09. Its a usefull device, but for near 300$ I think there are less expensive bluetooth device to clip on your visor that do the same thing. Maybe an Onstar module upgrade is possible, may cost less, and may be under waranty. So wont cost anything. . Might worth checking.
