Welcome aboard! The debate over which tire to recommend really stems from what you plan on using the truck for, and what sort of terrain you will spend most of your time on. If you are not an avid offroader, or very mild, go with an All-terrain (if the Goodyear Duratracs come in our sizing, those would be an excellent starting place). Failing that, if you are planning to use it for offroading and a decent amount, youre more likely going to go with a Mud Terrain tire, but try and find one that has as much siping as possible, as the secret to stopping in winter/on ice is all based on two things - Siping (lil cuts in the rubber) and soft compounds. Sadly, in a truck the weight of ours, soft compounds dont make much sense, but siping can be found on tires such as the interco Irok radials, and else where.



If you are buying exclusive sets for winter and summer (most dont), you could get away with a studdable mud terrain tire (My Hankook Dynapro MT's are studdable, and awesome in the mud and snow but if they were studded theyd be awesome on ice). Problem is that most places dont allow you to run studded tires in the summer, so it forces you to run a different set in summer/non-winter months.

If you are going to put a set of tires on other rims, cheap way is to modify H2 rims--bore centre out a bit.

Goodyear MT $500 ea good offroad tire and average street. medium noise, stock military ---good winter tire as well.Hard to find!

Toyo town and country, good all around tire $400+

Goodyear MTR w/kevlar or w/o good all around tire. $400 +



These would just a few of the most common stock replacements.
