Re: moving
Welcome to Alberta!
We have two OHV parks in the Calgary area; McLean Creek (K-Country) & Waiporus (near Cochrane)
Near Edmonton they have a private park called "Safari Park".
Most of the runs we do here on CHC are Waiporus & McLean, although we do have a bigger event planned in the summer to trek down to Wipsaw BC.
In any case we almost always have an event in the works! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Re: moving
Yep there are trails alright! May 7 trail run in the works and the group will be headed to Waiparous. We meet up in Cochrane which is just West of Calgary. Also mentioned was the McLean Creek off road area which is another great spot, these are government designated off road areas so it's all legit and no risk of offending private land owners etc.
Great group of people and it's always a great time, hope to see you out there!

Well thats where I live and there isnt much around here for legal trailing ...theres Alberta Safari Park but its been chewed up so bad with rigs with 44" tires that even with the lift and 38" tires i run i was getting high centered . Theres a new one being worked on called T.O.R.E (true off road experience) but I havent been there yet . Thats why i go down to Cochrane to wheel ...but once you see the trails out there and the scenery you'll understand why lol ...Our events are always on a saturday , so I usually meet evryone that goes down with me at the Ikea on the south side of Edmonton at like 5:30am (i hate mornings too) and drive down for a full day of wheeling ...oh and dont worry we never leave a rig behind , the fella's down in Calgary/Cochrane are amazing for helping with anything and everything ....Hope you"re coming down for the May 7th event

Re: moving
Big Haus there hit it right on the nose!!!
We are a group - we ride a s a group, and we stay as a group. No one is ever left behind! Occasionally we have to leave a rig on the trail if we don;t have the parts or tools - but that's why we do our runs on a Saturday - so we can go back on a Sunday to recover if we have to! LOL - Ive left mine behind once and JL dragged my @ss back in there to fix and we drove out, I've run out with parts for Gaza on Sunday mornings as one nice thing about Calgary - fairly easy to get parts on a Sunday!
I don;t think you'll ever meet a group like this as we all share the same ideals of trail honor - makes you proud!
And at the end of the day.... WE HAVE ALOT OF FUN!!!! Our one trail run to McLean I had to take tylenol after as I was laughing soo much my gut was starting to hurt!
