Re: ANY1 paint or spray console?
I just sprayed my center console since I scratched it putting in a stereo... the dash pieces I didn't spray but I gotta say the center section turned out really well and I still might do the dash yet. I picked out this cool textured paint from Crappy Tire and I was really impressed with the stuff, it turned out just like I expected and was really easy to spray. Basically it looks perfectly even and I sprayed it in no light, in a card board box in the basement... fool proof and I proved it lol
I did try a black spray but I wasn't happy with it since it did very little to cover up the scratches, and trying to do a proper clean on the panel before painting can be tricky because the factory finish comes off VERY easily and then you are definitely SOL for a nice smooth surface to paint. The textured paint was nice just because it does an amazing job of covering, I did like 3 coats and it came out great!
It's not artistic like a nice airbrush but just depends what you're after, I'll try to post up a picture today so you can see

Hey JL, Can we see some pics, and can you post the actual brand name of the textured paint you used?

Re: ANY1 paint or spray console?
Hey I mean to post pics but I totally forgot about it! The camera flash made the pictures turn out really weird... in natural light I think the finish actually turned out really nice, but yeah with the flash it makes it look funny... The white specs reeeaaally jump out in the photos but it I swear it looks nothing like that normally!!
You can also get a straight black finish like this one, same texture just without the white specks. It's a Krylon paint called Make it Stone, nothing fancy or special just found it at Crappy Tire and thought it would be worth a shot! This is the stuff!
