I have a bad injection pump on my 2000 wagon, and i have to remove the intake manifold to replace it. I started on it tonight and im having trouble removing the intake manifold plenum. I have it un bolted but there just is not enough room to lift it off the turbo. Any input is much appreciated.

The upper crossover plenum must be removed. There is just enough room to get it off. Then remove turbo. The gaskets(3) for these 2 parts are GM only, unless you want to go to AMG.

If you lift the front body up with 2 jacks, this may give you the added room if your body mounts are weak.

Turbo does not need to be removed. Mine was done without. To remove the crossover tube, unbolt it and then unbolt the intake manifolds, take those off. and then twist off the plenum.
