I found some h3 parts in Longview alberta. I am worried that it might be a scam. Its a wreckers place by description. If anyone lives in that area and would have a few moments to drive by take a look that the parts exist.

SCAM
Never ever buy anything off Kijiji that you cannot pick up in person!! Legit sellers know this and will not even offer to ship an item!! Longview is a village of 300-400 people in the middle of nowhere Alberta and I guarantee there is no wrecker there!!!

Yeah I am 99% sure it is a scam; I talked with MrIgor on another matter and he passed me a phone number to call and check it out. I was able to link the phone number provided for that ad to a bogus E-bay scammer mentioned on another forum.
The following phone numbers all belong to the same scammer:
403-483-8697
403-274-7557
403-404-8697
JL, what was the phone number for the guy who scammed you?

I wonder if this was the same guy, seems like a similar setup... pick a town in the middle of nowhere and ask people to come in person if they get to nosey to throw them off.

Yep, in that case mentioned above when I asked if I could use Visa they said I could... but I would have to drive down and pick up the parts.
Turned out the place didn't exist at all, but most people are not willing to jump in and drive for 2 or 3 hours to some remote site without a firm address to check it out.
In the case of your guy it is very similar; Longview is a 1.5hr drive from Calgary, he won't give you a firm address and is pushing your to use paypal and shippping rather than take the effort to get out there yourself. My theory is if he offers to meet you at some remote destination, it helps legitimize peoples perception that he is not a scammer.

I didn't get a phone number but this is in essence the exact same formula as before, just like you say.
Honestly it's not even worth checking into, stay far far away from this scammer!!

Yes, I will vouch that you have to be very very careful with Kijiji. Somebody tried to scam me as I was looking for an older jeep to by for a beater to drive around town and they said you had to pay through google checkout.
I had never heard of it so i searched and that part is legit and there is even a video to watch on how it works and it looks pretty kewl.
However when i got the instructions from the supposed seller.... it had all the right logos, but links were wrong, and they wanted payment to an individual person via western Union to an address in Florida??? How stupid do you think we are??
Pissed off as it was a good price on a nice looking jeep...
