Noise that worries me!

After doing the off road in South Bend I realize something does not sound right whenever I let go of the accelerator and just like the truck cruise. Some apparent noise comes from the left front of the truck. The noise is more pronounced when cruise at 40 to 60KM/H, but less at higher and lower speeds. I wanted to drop by Steve's place in Brampton on the way home yesterday but I did not think they would be open on a Sunday. Can somebody help?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' /> : (

I thought it was mud stuck on the underside causing the sound with the catylactic convertor vibrating while crusing so I went to a self serve cash wash in Detroit and hosed down the underside nicely and the noise has not gone away. I have checked the underside with my naked eyes numerous times and I do not see any physical damages from the off road trails. HELP!

Nope, during acceleration is fine, and I carefully listened to any strange noises on my way back yesterday. Only when I let go my foot on the gas padel it would make noises when speedometer is down to around 70 or 60KM/H. Should I drive it up to your place for you to take a look. I did not drive it today to work so it will have to be either Wednesday or Thursday, because I am busy at work tomorrow. I hope warranty will cover this, thanks!

I will drop by on Thursday after dropping off my son at school and my wife at the subway terminal. It is a long drive from our place and I hope it will not make it worse. See you soon, thanks!

Thanks, Steve, for your prompt investigation on my truck. I took your advice and went to Roy Foss GM/Hummer for them to take a look at my truck. Nevertheless, the service representative could not hear the whining noise while test driving my truck. Not sure he was experienced enough.

Now I have another problem: as soon as he found out my truck was bought in the States he said I needed to replace the odometer/speedometer cluster with a metric one before they would look at my truck again for warranty purposes. They estimated it would cost between $800-$900 plus tax to put one in for me.

I was shocked of course, because I have heard many Canadian Hummer owners getting warranty works done in Canada without any problem without having to change the cluster at all. Does any one know if this is something new for GM to curb Canadians from buying in the States?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />

Does any one know which GM dealerships would honour warranty on GM cars bought in the USA in the GTA???

HELP! SOS!

My H2 was a US truck and all warranty work was done on it at Queensway Hummer, and my Speedo is in MPH, not KMs

If you go or call, ask to speak to Hal the Service guy, he is the guy that always helped me.

Yeah that is weird they want that much money for something that has no bearing on warranty... also keeping in mind that the only thing that makes the cluster 'metric' is the gauge face! The cluster itself doesn't even need to be swapped out!!

If I ever change my gauge from MPH to KPH I'll just be getting a US Speedo gauge face and calling it a day! They're somewhat pricey for what they are... I think they go around $200 but still better than $800!!!!!!!
