Is there a way to override the regular headlights to use the ones located lower on the bumper (apologies - I'm trying not to call them "fog lights"). Reason being, driving on the highway, or especially in the city, the regular headlights are beaming directly into vehicles in front of me and I have gotten a few hand signals requesting me to lower the lights...how???



Hopefully a user issue on my part, I've gone through the manual and I'm wondering if the previous owner of my 2003 H2 modified anything.

Edit2: to clarify! During the day, the "fog lights" are on, no problem. However, in the evening/night, the regular lights come on. I would like to use the "fog lights" or lower beam when/if possible.

the lower lights are Daytime running lights and there is no switch to turn them off or on, you can jumper them to work with your parking lights on the fuse panel under the hood and then manually turn your lights to that setting instead of the regular lights but they would not be bright enough for evening driving. I get high beamed all the time from other drivers when I am driving my H2 as they always think i have my high beams on and it faces them directly..I have learned to live with it and know that i am not doing anything wrong. You could also check to see if you head lights and pointed in the right direction, they could be set to high and need to be leveled down, there is a process on how to balance your headlights and it is actually pretty simple, all you need is a bit of darkness, a level ground and a small torq screw driver..

You can change the headlights to another style.



If you are using standard sealed beams...

IPF has ones that shine a straight across line on low beam that eliminates the blinding of on coming traffic. They use H4 bulbs and can be purchased with 30k and 42k bulbs.I have these in stock.



For the HID 's , lower the angle of the headlights, this may help.I have had an H2 with HID's follow me a few times,(Mr.D), those lights are a pain in the eyes at night if set too high.

who me?? I know exactly what you are talking about, Julie followed me home from Am General, she was driving the H2 and wow they can be bright...
