Guys,



I have, for a long time, tried to find any kind of "official" release from GM on the Hx, why it wasn't produced? what happened to the multiple vehicles that were produced and rumored to be at their Mexico manufacturing Plant, etc...but I have never been able to find any official letter, statement or anything from GM..does anyone know if one exists? Also does anyone know what ever happened to the HX from the Transformers 2 movie? was there one, two or how many trucks? were they auctioned off?/ Any ideas people??





Let me know what you find or if you know of anything official or even rumored? It is odd that this came out with such a big bang,, I mean I still find NEW toys being produced in the Hx concept model design.. odd that I can not find an official statement from GM anywhere on it. This may be a job for Marc... he is good at hunting down the Facts!!

I have for a long time been asking some contacts at GM but still have no "official" word or statement... I would love to see what has happened. I had heard one time that the Hx from transformers wen up for Auction at the Christie auction but no real official word on that or if they sold or not and no idea on what they sold for, if they did sell..

Here's something for the rumor mill ! Some time ago about 5 months ago . I was at HUMMER dealer speaking with the owners son . Who owns a HUMMER dealer and Chevy dealership ! NO names ! Well we were chill-in out and he was a bit reluctant to talk when i touched on the subject ! I guess he said what the heck ? He was at the Detroit auto show with his pop and they were talking with a GM higher up brass dude ! Well as the talks turned to HUMMER and then why? The dropping of the brand and the mistake of the decision . How the HX would of deep six-ed J__P AND all other competition . He the brass man pulled them aside . Stated whispering everybody thinks there was 2 prototypes made !You SHOULD KNOW US ALOT BETTER THEN THAT!WE HAD A GOLD MINE ! There are 300 TO 500 made !!!!!!!! There in 2 warehouses . ( secret) Locations ! One in California the other in Arizona desert area ! They were like no way ! The brass replied "way" ! WHEN THE PLUG WAS PULLED AND GOVERMENT INVOLVMENT WAS IN ! GM was told . As to the HX . Don't you even think about it ! Why do you see more of them in different colors on the net and in movies ! Also for GM to sell the HX'S stashed away ! They need 50% specialty tools for them to be worked on that the current MECHANICS don't have and would have to buy . The MECHANICS WOULD NEVER BUY THE TOOLS for such a low production number of vehicles . Who could say where in the world they would be sold ? So believe or don't believe . Up to you ! I will say when i was told this ! The person was very serious and his body language was also . There was full eye contact . In my opinion , I believe it ! With GM IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME! I never brought this up before . Reason's : It might make HUMMER owners even more mad . People might think i was full of it ! The topic never arose ! I should not say anything ? Yet i was never told to keep it hush hush !
