That is definitely not the smartest thing I have ever seen.
You do realize that you could've caused a voltage spike and killed your own ECM.
You could've had your batteries explode.
The can of WD-40 could've exploded in your hand.
Next time carry some matches or a lighter! That would be a much better example!

1) I definitely agree that I could of taken out my ECM, but I always carry an extra on (as should every 6.5L owner should!)
2) The chances of the batteries exploding were slim because they explode when hydrogen is lingering around the batteries and a spark is created. There was plenty of wind and the spark was created at the other end (not close to the batteries). But there is always a chance that a spark is created at the batteries also.
3) It is a myth that an aerosol bottle can explodes in your hands. It's the same principle as lighting a acetylene torch or a propane stove. In order to explode it needs air/fuel. The only way it will explode is if you throw it in the fire.
And by the way, I carry matches now! Was just two guys bribing each other that we couldn't start a fire. Definitely do not recommend trying this. I agree it was stupid! But hey, you know what happens when your trying to impress!
