GM WARNING on 2008 H3's

We just recieved from Gm a service letter for 2008 H3's in Eastern Canada .
It is in reguards to the front brake hose fitting coroding due to water and snow containing road salt. This could cause flexing of the hose and a leak. Leak would cause BRAKES or Fluid messages . Rear brakes will continue to operate. GM advises only if you suspect this condition to see GM Dealer (My advice have it checked during routine maintainace) . Gm will repair this condition for 10 years or 193,000 km but only by a GM Dealer.

If people buy their HUMMERS from a GM dealer and bring it to a dealer once in awhile for maintenance . They should get all campaign notices . If they run their Onstar , in which case i do . especially if you run the top level Onstar with all goodies . You will get it . GM is getting their $45 dollars a month . <img src='

i called my dealer to check the moment i saw this but when they took my vin they said this recall doesn't affect your vehicle. Was this affecting the 2008 H3 5 cylinder model only?

On the notice i received . It says "do not" Bring it into the dealer unless you believe that your vehicle has the condition as described ! It all comes down to the service advisor allot of times . There's very cool ones , and very uncool ones ! Remember warranty work does not pay .

Allen our H3 is an ALPHA so it seems that its all 08's. Maybe it is to do with a assembly line change. I posted this as an advisory to watch this and when having service done have it visually checked. I hate accidents and remember GM knew for 3 years that the fake hood panels were detaching before recalling them.
