Ok here's my situation, <DIV> </DIV><DIV>Phil is changing my tires/ finishing the safety and even doing the daylight running lights. Once this is done I need to get the inspection Form 2 done for RIV at a Canadian Tire. T.H.E tells me that I need to bring the H1 back to Barrie since the CTC there has done several and it would be quick. Then we can go to the ministry with all the papers and the ownership will be in my name.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Can I drive the H1 if I don't have the ownership? I can get someone to drive behind me just in case.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>WHat are your thoughts on this?</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Thanks,</DIV><DIV>Joe</DIV><edited><editID>SELWA</editID><editDate>2007-08-09 12:13:52</editDate></edited>

<P>As long as there is insurance and is properly plated I see no problem driving it if the ownership is not in your name. But if it has no insurance or not properly plated then I would not suggest that the fines etc would exceed any costs in getting it flatbedded again expecially if your with CAA <img src='

<P>Very True,</P><DIV>Since I don't want to flatbed it again back to Barrie from Caledon I did some more research. I may be able to get a temp trip permit. Here's what I need:</DIV><DIV> </DIV><P>To apply for a trip permit, take the following items to any <a href="
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/ ... issoff.htm" target="_blank">Driver and Vehicle Licence Issuing Office</A>: </P><UL><LI>your original fit vehicle permit; <LI>if the permit is not registered in your name, a Bill of Sale from the person named on the permit to you, if available; <LI>if the vehicle is registered as unfit, a Safety Standards Certificate (SSC) is also required; <LI>name of your insurance company and policy number. The vehicle to which the trip permit will be attached must be insured at the time when the trip permit is issued.
I'll drop by a ministry office and see if I can get one of these. </LI></UL><P>I also found a CTC 13minutes away from Phil in Bolton and then the ministry is only 6 minutes from there. Now I just need T.H.E to meet me at CTC and the ministry office to conclude the transactions. </P><edited><editID>SELWA</editID><editDate>2007-08-09 12:15:12</editDate></edited>
