Someone should tell her that the chemical composition of her exhaust is exactly the same as the one from the truck, so she should keep her window rolled up if she wants fresh air.. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

But really though, a pretty senseless encounter!

Someone should ask her if she knows how hard nickel is to recycle and how toxic it is in general! Ever seen the area around Sudbury???



I remember reading somewhere in a environmental impact survey that a Prius was 5x times worse for the environment simply due to the nickel!



I also read on one of the other hummer sites about a press conference where the little town was so happy to say that they were giving preferred parking to all Hybrid owners, some guy stood up and interrupted the whole thing by very sarcastically pointing out how stupid they where, saying; It is amazing that the car you buy makes you more important that a pregnant woman, or someone who is physically disabled who needs to park closer. Then again why not give preferential parking to Police and Fireman and Military and War Veterans, all of whom risk their lives so that we can live each and every day in safety. Or what about teachers and doctors and nurses, aren't they important??? So how come buying a hybrid makes you the savior of the world...GET YOUR PRIORITIES Straight! The person then walked out of the press conference. The town canned the whole idea and left the parking spots as they were for handicaps and pregnant women.



The other thing people forget, while you can drive your prius, when it breaks down, you will need a tow truck, not a tow car but a TOW TRUCK, to take it to the garage. When the prius owner whines that they don't want to shovel the snow, guess what they get a snow contractor to plow their driveway, oh but wait he has a Big Pickup with a blade not a little car with a shovel. And then when the annoying prius owner decides to move away from the nasty pickup suv people, sadly they can't move anything in that little car, so they ask a friend of theirs to move them with their Big Hulking Pickup/SUV.



And that lady called us ignorant??? <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':blink:' />

HA HA, I had a lady at home depot wave her hand in front of her face when she walked by my truck and then gave me a dirty look, guess she didn't like my Diesel fumes!! ha ha, what she didn't see was my one year old in his car seat in the back during one VERY hot day in the summer trying to stay cool while I tried to put lumber into my truck. I'm not going to sacrifice shutting the ac off for two minutes, you waste more gas turning the truck back on!!

A friend of mine had an old GMC Suburban with the 6.2L diesel. He had a switch to advance his fuel timing so it looked like like a steam engine with all the black coming out. Used it a couple times when cyclists would do the "follow rules of the road that are convenient to me, follow rules of pedestrians when convenient to me" kind of thing. Was awesome to see them disappear in a cloud of black.
