I have seen this video before....I am amazed at how shiny aluminum can get if polished. But it does seem a lot of work and personally I would never add bling to a Hummer, but that is just my taste. If you like it, I am sure it can be done with a hand held polishing tool (I believe there are some add-ons you can buy for angle grinders, which might work along with a good polishing paste).

doing it is not to hard, you can get the disk mount for any grinder with socks to put on it.

The problem is that you may get a week or month because it will oxidize and you have to do it again; its more trouble than its worth for where it sits on the truck.

and FYI; if anyone is going to try do it and has never done it before, then DO NOT use the grinder for more than 10-12 minutes at a time and leave a big break between. the micro vibrations will cause "white knuckle" or "dead finger"

your fingers go white because of the vibration damageing the nerves and blood vessels.

it your lucky it hurts like hell (really - as in dear god shoot me now! - bad pins and needles) if you do cause severe damage you sure as shit wont be playing the piano.... ever, and Aluminum dust will give you a sever sore throat and prolonged exposure causes leukemia.

Well arnt I just a little ray of sunshine <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... adbang.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':headbang:' />

Used to make aluminum electronic chasis. We would chuck steel wool in drill press and make circular spin patterns on aluminum.
