Hi guys, I am new here and will appreciate your help, info, knowledge, and friendship. I own a 2001 hummer H1 since June of this year. Ever since then I know that a sickness called Hummertosis hit me as i got hooked and addicted as days goes by. Strange as it may sound, the stares and attention you get is very addicting but can be so annoying sometimes (you HUMMER owners definitely know what I am talking about) I purchased it at a very mint condition (i believe) and with only 23k miles on it. My goal is to preserve it,and make some performance upgrade without loosing its originality. So far, I have changed the engine oil, air filter(to Airaid), and bought an OEM AM General fender flares but have not yet installed it. My next plan is to remove the catalytic converter, muffler and replace it with a straight pipe probably on spring time. Any advice, opinion, about this? By the way, is there any member with H1 nearby my location? I hope to get in touch with you guys. Thanks so much..Cheers.

Welcome aboard next door neighbor!

Hope you enjoy the new ride! I must admit to longing for the big daddy, but I have that third kid syndrome... Wife frowns on using the roof rack as a seat in winter...Image

I think you'll loveit here!

Welcome aboard! You may want to reconsider your Airaid filters, as the K&N (same company) have elevated silicone levels which can prove problematic down the road - http://www.flashoffroad.com/Maintenance ... Filter.htm

Welcome to the family, Pula. Sounds like you have a nice "baby" there. You will certainly want to get to know Roy and Phil on the site along with Derek, Kevin, and many others who's names escape me right now. There are many knowledgeable individuals on the forum who can assist you with your questions about H1's and maintenance and modifications.
