Hi all
Is there any H3's that have 35 on stock 16 rims.
How did it go?
Has any of you experience vibration after the fit of the 35?
Just checking if its a tire thing before i go get my drive shafts balance.
Had my tire balance 3 times so far and still experience vibration.
1st. with balancing beads,
2nd. regular lead weight with result 00.00 on all l4 wheel and again the 3rd time with lead weight with again 00.00 on all 4 wheels.
Vibration is barely noticeable under 80kph from 80 to 115 you can clearly feel it then then at 120 to 140 i dont feel it that much but when i look at the sun visor i see it shake. i dont feel that much vibration at any speed in the steering wheel its more a body thing, vibration seems to come from the floor but sometime seems to come from the front.
planing to take appointment soon to get drive-shaft balance to see if it solve the problem

Re: H3 on 35
I was running the Toyo 315/75R16 on my stock rims for I think just over a year. Looking on the website they are 34.9" in diameter. I had no vibrations or really any problems aside form almost negligible rub on the sway bar at full lock.
I had them balanced at a place in Calgary that has some pretty expensive balancing equipment though. In the past other shops have loaded on the weights to balance tires while this shop almost uses nothing for the exact same setup.
Maybe wheel bearings or alignment? If you cranked the torsion bars you usually need an alignment.

I had the same tires on my H3 with the stock rims, the Toyo 315/75R16 and never had any vibration problems with them. No idea how they were balanced... but doubting they did anything fancy with them!

I'm agreement with SP . Front end area i would bet ! Did you have this before you put the winch on.
Or did it start after ? Sounds like bearings or alignment . Is it possible a bad tire or a small crack in the rim <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />? Have you ruled that out . Front front end issue i am betting on though .

Re: H3 on 35
this happen between Polar bear playground and new winter tire, few weeks before winch.
For the alignment It seems well within limits as i had that checked as well, the tire are brand new.
Although its possible that there is a bad one, they all ( all 5 including the spare) show 0.00 on the dynamic balancing machine.
That is why i was thinking some other parts had to be vibrating. Thx for the input, will investigate further.

Re: H3 on 35
G34 .. Not hard at all . It is very cheap . 1)Crank your torsion bars . I believe max is around 2inch . This raises your front end and provide the room for the 35's . 2) A Lot of the guys will go for the torsion key replacement and shackles for the back leafs . This is a kit . Make your rig totally level ! Many companies make these . My rig is cranked 1.5 inch or so .I am running 33's .There is many discrepancies on how to tweak your torsion bars with out keys . I mean as in measuring . When measuring remember to get a front end alignment . Your caster and camber will be out . Also if your are just going to crank your torsions only . REMEMBER TO FIND A VERY FLAT SURFACE ! Also extended shocks is highly recommended for control of thefront end bounce and over all handling . Skyjacker make a good shock for a great price . I gotta run . Other members like Sugar ,Arch, and H2 guys that know the H3 like their designed it themselves . will fill you in on a lot more . They will share links on kit's steps etc . If you wish ?

Re: H3 on 35
Couple of notes for you G34:
-315/75R16 have a theoretical diameter of 34.6", however some manufacturers have larger or smaller so check the website out first.
-It will rub on your sway bar at full lock, this is not a concern as you will not be going very fast at all if you are at full lock and it just harmlessly rubs off the sway bar paint a bit. It doesn't really affect your turning radius.
-You may or may not need to crank your torsion bars. I suspect you will not need to, but every truck is different. If you get a little rubbing, it is easy to fix using the torsion keys. Just get yourself a really long breaker bar or impact gun and a 1-1/16" socket. Keep track of how many turns you put on the torsion key bolt, and do exactly the same to the other side. Measure the change as you go, once you reach your ideal height, take it for a quick drive and get the suspension settled down again... then re-adjust as needed. Ideally you raise the truck evenly OR take it in for a wheel aliment after (you should take it in anyway after doing this), keep in mind most GM's will lean to one side or the other (people believe this is due to how they get strapped down when shipping) so if the distance from the fender to the wheel on one side is more than the other do not be concerned.

-as JohnnyspikesH3 said, keep it to 2" or less of lift or it will begin to affect your vehicle ride
-You won't need new torsion keys, I know this from experience... I have a set of Daystar keys and found out after the stock keys would have been just fine.
-Other option such as Samco shackles for the rear are out there if you need them, for this size tire you will not though.
These tires will work no problem... so long as you don't use an aftermarket rim!!
Your cost to do this will be buying and mounting the tires, buying a 1-1/16" socket and doing a wheel alignment later on.
Have fun!

Re: H3 on 35
All of what has benn mentionend is accurate <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />
I have my 315 mounted on my OEM rims 7.5x16 no problem, slight rubbing on sway bar at full lock. had my H level before the 35, had it raised again after the winch as the 100 extra lbs did put the nose down a bit. I like the extra clearence the tire gives me. Other than that not much to else to say.
No need for new key, no need for rear shackles. 35 fits perfectly under the H.
