Before I go out to buy most things new I like to research them on forums like ours here. I just put a truxxx lift and level kit in +1.5" rear and adjustable 2-3" front and a new set of Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 315/70/17's. When I was checking out tire brands and reviews, I came across quite a few threads here that were scattered all over the place and sometimes under titles that made it hard to search through.



I think it would be a great benefit if we had a dedicated tire review thread. Most of what I found here too was people looking for advise on new tires, but I see people rarely come back to give a review on their tires. This could be a great resource for us since there is often special considerations for our trucks, like how some tires seem to need a lot of weight on them to work well.



So far I am loving the Nitto's and the lift and level make things look awesome! I'll be back to post a mosre detailed review. And pictures of course!

I've been running my Toyo O/C MT's for about 3 years. Tread wear is very minimal, however I only have about 18,000kms on it. The best benifit of the Toyo is the ability to air down and take advantage of the reinforced side walls and biters. The tire is very flexible despite the number of plys and thickness of the lugs, this makes it particularly good for rocks and a very versitle tire in almost all situations. I've been very impressed with the deep snow capability of this tire as well, it chews away and just doesn't give up. The biggest negitives of this tire for me is the pure ice traction, mud traction seems not as great as some of the other brands and road noise is louder than an AT tire, but relatively quiet when compared to other MT's.



Would you run them again?

I will be running another set of these down the road, that is if these ever wear out!

Don't have time for an in-depth review right now, but I've had Cooper STTs on my Jeep ZJ (35s) and on the H2 (37s). So far my all time favorite. I think the Toyos are also great from what I hear.

Had 37" MTRs on my Jeep TJ. Hated those tires. Didn't balance properly, and way overpriced for what they offer.

I will be putting Toyo's on my hummer rims, I work remote jobs some of them are roads made of shale so the tires get ripped. we had perillis on a rental and had a flat every f*$%ing day at $65 a shot <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ngHead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':banghead:' /> just about all the construction trucks have toyo's on every project, that tells you how good they are. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

One of the reasons I picked the Nitto Trail Grappler was because it got a very high rating for gravel roads, and I drive a lot of gravel so I guess I'll find out!
