OBDII

Post by Boeing Jet »

GreenMeanie suggested a OBDII scan tool which works off a PC. From what I say, it looked great. If anyone hears from him, have him pm or call me THX

LOL Right here bud!! Yes i am using an ELM 327 usb interface. I have hardwired the unit into the truck and i have a onboard Zotac Mini Mag computer with touch screen running a plethora of different software. Its a cheap box interface and does all protocols up to CAN. If you have an older H1 there will be limited sensors but if all you need is checking and clearing codes, temps and freeze frame diagnostics its all you need. If you have some hexi programming knoledge you could create your own bi directional command sets as well.

I have lots of photos here but you kinda have to dig around.

That's a nice setup.

I bought the bluetooth version of the ELM 327 which I have plugged in to my Dodge Ram. I plan on hard wiring it in the summer since it draws power whenever it is plugged in. It communicates with an app on my phone called "Torque" where I can see temp, fuel to air, mileage and much more info. Plus I can pull up trouble codes if I have a light on.

Hey Green

I picked up the same OBDII as you but I'm having issues with the install etc. I was hoping that perhaps we can get together for some help.

P.S. I put down Transporter because I always seem to transport club members parts and other stuff.

I.E. Parts,Boats,Tires,Trailers,H1's etc

give me a ring when possible 416-951-3290
