I think it was just bad luck . Yes maybe he could of took it a bit slower . He did DIP in the ground mid way . Underwater surprise ! Got that big wave , which i guess got into his intake . Also Knocked the crap out of his front plate . His angle of approach seemed solid . Explain this ? I seen on another vid by this nut bar . He has no snorkel at all . How the heck is this happening ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XD1wimVl ... detailpage

Are you sure he has no snorkel??? That would definitely not be possible without one!

On the first video, of the White H stalling in water,, that is just plain stupid.

Especially for an 09 or 10.

I noticed on my 06 that the corner bumper were see through ( open )you could see the tire directly. The inner fender liner didnt reach to include the opening of the corner bumper. so in short the breather box was kind of enclosed in the inner fender and not much was getting in there unless you were just sitting in water deep enough to get the fender in the water.

When i changed for my 09 and then my 2010, the corner bumper wasn't open anymore, instead i twas leading to the inner fender, directly where the breather tube is. the liner of the inner fender is now enclosing the corner bumper so if you rush fast enough to get water above the corner bumper and water gets into that opening the water rides in your inner fender and the risk of being aspirated is +++ .

I don't know about the 07 or 08, but I found that this mod was kind of stupid. At first I was thinking that for the Alpha's they needed more air and that was the reason for this channeling, but my 09 was an I5 and the inner fender liner was set up the same so that was the end of that theory.

in any case, I dont really like swimming with the H, especially when I dont know the water, what kind of bottom, how deep, and as anybody been through before. if they lost a Caterpillar D7 in there, for sure i wont try it, hahahaha

For the other video,, if he doesnt have a snorkel, its miraculous, as water appears to be at the fender flare so well above the corner bumper. so if an 06 he may be lucky and water doesnt get into the inner fender, but if its a later model,, water is in there,, so he needs a snorkel for sure.
