I get all my stuff on (hummerpartsguy.com). Dave has been very good for me regarding parts and help! I even was going to order a part and he said that I should get it at my local parts store and gave me the cross-reference #. That's what I call service!

On another note, I never had anything shipped to Canada from him as I live 2 minutes from the US border and get everything shipped there!

Had good experience with Rubberduck also. I called and he is very helpful when it comes to installing his products.

Rampart Hummer was good for a while, but I stopped buying there after running into major delays getting my parts. Plus no one answers the phone half the time!

As for my ARB I bought all the stuff from Tony (T.C. on this site). Best service around in my opinion!!

Hope this helps.

Serge, Hummerpartsclub is a great place as well, the owners name is Dave there also, he was a sponsor of the site and I have purchased items from him before, as well he had sponsor and donated some Gift certificates to the 2011 Toronto Charity event at the airport..I believe Tom won those, maybe get a reference from him as well..

I find that most of the people out there that are selling items are fairly honest and helpful, especially if they have been around for a while, reputation is everything in the Hummer business and if you screw over one customer, you are screwed for a bunch as the Hummer community is very small.

if you need anything else Serge, let me know..but I think you are more then fine to contact him, remember to mention the Club, he should hook you up a discount for that.

Ive had absolutely excellent service and sales from Hummerpartsguy (Dave), Rubberduck 4x4 (Travis), and Blue Hummer (Dave). Ive never dealt with a salesman as honest and as helpful and dedicated to customer service as Dave & Chris @ HPG, and I have zero hesitations in purchasing from them, or referring friends to any of the above vendors.

I look forward to dealing with Roy from Crazy Canucks 4x4 in the future, but I just havent had the opportunity.

I wasnt left as satisfied with Predator's service, but it didnt put me off them completely, but Id rather support the other guys when I can.

yea we are lucky... the Hummer community is small and if there is a bad service deal that goes on, it isn't long for word to spread....

I have dealt with all the guys you have mentioned above Hesh and I have no complaints...when there were issues, they we were resolved fast...and without questions (usually) Image

I ordered a few parts from HPG when i first got my truck, he had some great deals going on for the twin filter kit, and tie rod arms and such. We had a slight shipping issue, but Dave fixed it and it turned out good <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Hey guys,

What has been the best way to get things shipped across the border from the US into Canada.

I know that if the parts are marked "Used Diesel Parts" that there is no Duty on that but what method of shipping have you used. United postal service, Fedex, etc. Looking for the lowest cost option including brokerage etc.

Thanks.

The "best" way is to cross the border and bring (smuggle) your parts across yourself, I see it everyday.

Being an American I've never had to deal with Duty or a Broker.

I'm a little rusty on international shipping since I no longer work in the International Department (Gateway) at FedEx. I believe if the Declared Value is over $200 then you need to use a Broker. If its less, then you don't need one. Often times people mark shipments as "gifts" or US and the Country of Origin to eliminate or lower the duty cost. There is also the challenge of getting the shipper to write up the paperwork the way you want, and not the way they want.

I'm sure someone here has some more tips on beating the system.
