Location of Factory Air Compressor

Looking to install my VIAIR OBA kit in my H2 LUX - I am wondering where the factory air compressor is located in the Adventure series truck; perhaps I can get my VIAIR compressor in the same location?

It's on the rear of the Hummer behind the gas tank just infront of the last crossmember. It is hidden behind the rear bumper, so you can't really see it unless you know where to look.

hmm so it would be exposed to water, mud, etc? I figured it would have been under the plastic trim in the back of the truck.

Water from normal driving doesn't really reach it, because of the fender lining. But it does sit out there in the elements. I guess you could always build your own water-plash guard to surround the compressor to keep it dry. Or why not install it in the engine compartment...

Is there a suitable location in there? I was looking around yesterday and there isn't a whole lot of space!

When I had the front ARB Air Locker installed, they installed the compressor behind the K&N Air Filter. They plumbed a quick connect out through the door post so that I can easily inflate the tires without lifting the hood!
