I'm not sure if any of you have heard of this place or not, but it sounds pretty cool. I wonder if we could drive this guys trails with our own trucks as a group?? I was asked by another person to post this here, to maybe help the guy out with the tree huggers hassling him. Maybe email the place showing support or something.

Hi Brian, since you and I are Hummer fans...and also we are Hummer fans that do not have an H1.....

If I win the lottery, the first that I will buy is a 2006 H1 Alpha....and an 2009 H3 Alpha.....

Since I have tried the H3 and the H2, I always wanted to have the opportunity to test drive the H1, I just want to know how it feels to drive the H1...

I am not sure if you have heard a place in Haliburton, that rents an H1 and you can drive it on a specified trail.

Here is the website address: http://www.backcount...s.ca/hummer.php

Since I could not found any place in Toronto that rents the H1…….

I was excited that I saw this place in Haliburton……you drive the H1 yourself and you can take 4 more people with you.

But when I called the place, the gentleman told me that there is a possibility that the Hummer H1 rental will be cancelled.

I was so disappointed when I heard that, and I ask what was the reason…..and he told me that the company is having problem with some environmental group, and that Hummer is not a green vehicle.

I am just so pissed off……because, why is it that the Hummer is always the main target for the environmentalists ?

Is Hummer the only SUV that gets poor fuel economy ?

What about the Escalade, Tahoe, Expedition, Nissan Armada, Lexus LX 470, Infiniti QX56, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Range Rover……??

Why is the Hummer is being blamed for ruining the environment ? how about the people who are dumping garbage, and used oils into the rivers.

If the Hummer is bad because is a big bad gas guzzler SUV, how about a car like the Lamborghini Murcielago, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin V8, Ferrari Enzo….I am sure that they also drinks lots of fuel…….

I have sent an e-mail to the place that rents the Hummer H1 telling him that I wish that the program will stay on…, so that Hummer fans who don’t own an H1 can have the opportunity to enjoy the H1.

I was thinking maybe if other members who also wanted to try the H1 can also send an e-mail to the place in Haliburton to show some support...

I am planning to go this summer to Haliburton to try the H1 if they don't cancel the program.

Wow i didnt even know that place existed, and its just down the road from hunstville where our cottage is. I will definetly have to check this place out in the spring. I drove up there a few times with the truck last year, and was dissapointed that i couldnt find any trails to explore.

Theres a few of those eco-nazi puffs up there. But they are easy to spot in a crowd ; wearing their sandals made from tree bark. lol

Theres also another H1 trail place in Collingwood, heard it was fun to do as well, kinda like a business outing team building thing.

Out of all places in north america, you would think we would have tonnes of fun trails within a 20-40min drive of where we live, but theres nothin

These guys have a second location closer to Bracebridge also. Giver, like you I have driven past this place for years. My parents had a cottage on the other side of the Algonquin Park, for more then 30 years, took Hwy.60 route 90% of the time. Even in recent years, I have have been going to Kearney, so still not far away. I had no idea that was there.

Yea, my parents have a small place right in huntsville, we have had it going onto almost 10 years. I abosuley love huntsville, not too big, good mix of everything. And the lakes are awesome, lots of little islands, coves and rivers to exlpore. I spend almost my entire weekend zipping around on the seadoo, or sitting around doing absoulety nothing

I would love to buy some "real" land up there one of these days
