Has anyone tried the Mcmaster Carr set up? They don't ship to Canada but a place I deal with can get them for me. $8.95 for either end. The rest looks easy to get here.

They have all kinds of interesting stuff there. I just bought some foam tape to seal up my doors better. 50' roll 3/16x 1/2 was only $6.10 and the 1" size was $16.75.<DIV> </DIV><DIV>This is their website but they have more stuff that isn't shown.</DIV><DIV><a href="http://www.multilinefasteners.com/" target="_blank">http://www.multilinefasteners.com/</A></DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>I mentioned the name Mcmaster Carr and they are able to get the stuff!</DIV>

Joe,<DIV> </DIV><DIV>I bought a set when McMaster still shipped to Canada, and they work great!  I had the braided stainless quick release lines before, but they didn't close the valve when disconnected, so you had to have both wheels connected or disconnected.  With the McMaster set up you can isolate a single wheel.  The only downside that I can see is that when disconnected, there is no guaranteed way to keep the quick connect coupling loosely connected to the valve on the hub, so there is a risk of it flopping around.  Having said that, I've driven 2000 km with it disconnected, but "just sitting" on the hub part of the disconnect.  You could also tape it, or use another quick disconnect on the rim itself, totally removing the line.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Robert</DIV><DIV>97 TD wagon</DIV>

Thanks Robert,<DIV> </DIV><DIV>It's good to know they work well in our conditions up here. I have mine plugged and valved at the rims since my stock ones had a slight leak. </DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV> </DIV>
