CHC AB - JUNE EVENT

Here is the proposed trail run for mid June, see below for the formal stuff
Trail Run Name: CHC Epic Falls Run
Description: No messing around, a flat out burn to the falls of Waiparous, through raging rivers, up harrowing cliffs and across rocky plains. Sure Sure, the statistics of success may be stacked against us, but sheer determination will see us through! Lunch will be held at the falls, and likely we will have lots of time for much mucking about on the way back. This will be the last event of the year for myself, and also for Brian, so let’s make it a fun one!
Confirmed Date: Saturday, June 23rd
Meeting Spot: Lot across from Tim’s in Cochrane
Meet Time: 8:30am
Roll Out: 9:00am
Return: Approx 4:00pm
Required Equipment:
Hummer Brand Vehicle [or approved Honorary CHC vehicles]
**Vehicle must be in good working condition**
FRS/GRMS Radio(s)
33” Tires Minimum & Full Size Spare
Front & Rear Tow Hooks
Food & Water for all passengers for 24 hrs
Appropriate Clothing & Extra Change
Vehicle Jack (and lock nut socket if needed)
Other Recommended Equipment:
First Aid Kit
Recovery Gear (Winch, Straps, Shackles, snatch blocks, line extensions… ect)
Spare Fluids (Oil, water, gas, transmission fluid… etc)
Tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, breaker bars, Flashlight, sockets….etc)
Compressor, tire gauge
Misc (Duct tape, Wire, zip ties, blocks, tarp… ect)
General Rules & Guidelines:
-No abandoning stuck or broken vehicles unless the owner and group mutually agree to a contingency plan for recovery
-Damaged vehicles leaving will be assisted out by at least one working vehicle, and at least two vehicles if they are returning
-Always keep the last vehicle in your rear view mirror, radio ahead if somebody needs to stop
-Be aware that splintering off from the main group is always done at your own risk; there is little we can do if you leave radio range and we don’t know where you are, should you become lost, damaged or stuck.
