Yeah, we got to see it a couple summers ago when we are up north. Was cool to think people are on the thing as it whizzes by.

I always wanted to see the shuttle launch, when we were going to Florida a few years ago we tried to line it up with a launch, but they get bumped so often, we couldn't make it happen. I did however see it on the launch pad, and see a rocket launch, so it was still pretty cool.

We saw the second last Discovery launch.. it was amazing...the sky, after the shuttle is gone, looks amazing.. if I can find the photos, I will post some..we went wheeling the day before, then came back to resort, slept for a few hours then drove to the coast..had to get there 5 hours before launch and launch time was 6am..so we left Orlando at 11pm..got to Kennedy space center before 1am.. parked and hung out.. found a good spot to sit.. hence the KSC lawn chairs we had at Ribfest..and then Anthony passed out for a few hours after doing about 5 or 6 Shuttle ride simulations. we woke him up to see the ISS pass over head and then we woke him up when the countdown was at 40 seconds..
the feeling of Power that hits you after the launch is amazing..and to see it go up and up and up, like a fireball.. Amazing...we will miss those....
