Feedback please.
Currently have 04 Yukon Denali (Im aware of fuel costs),looking at next vehicle and of course H2 has always been on my mind. Love the '08 H2 style and that is the only year I want, but have to consider the newer Tahoe's with better fuel mileage and also love the interior of the new Escalades but they have the same size engine as the '08 H2. Anyone do any in depth testing of these 3 vehicles and which way did you go. Currently swaying towards the H2 as I love the look of them and do not drive as much as I used to (work is close by and fuel paid when on the road). Im in Ottawa and have to deal with winters here and also have a summer place in Northern NY by Alexandria Bay, which I might be living there in the future and have to deal with winters there also.
Your thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks

A lot depends on what you want to do... The Tahoe, Yukons, and Escalades are straight GM product and probably have more creature comforts than the H2.
AMG designed the H2 contract to GM to build and have a lot of features designed for improved traction, offroading, and field repairs... They are a lot heavier thus the mileage is worse than the GM counter parts, but they are still building those three so parts won't be an issue.
I'm not a huge GM fan but I love my Hummer, I won't touch any other GM based vehicle so I guess I'm a bit biased too.... Those three would be hard pressed to follow an H2 offroad....

Since the H2 is not being produce anymore.....it has become a classic....and it is becoming more and more " Like Nothing Else "...... <img src='

Just came back from Reno, Nevada....and spend a week driving a 2012 GMC Yukon XL SLT.....it is a nice ride..
Personally for me if, I buy an Escalade or a Yukon is that, a couple of years down the road a new model will come out and now suddenly my ride has become an outdated version..... <img src='

But if you drive an H2.....then your H2 will never be an outdated model.......
The Escalade, Yukon and Tahoe are nice SUV......but personally I think that the shape of the H2 is much more unique compare to the Escalade or the Yukon.
If I have the funds....I would love to get another Hummer, the H3...another classic unique vehicle......
Again, Hummers are truly " Like Nothing Else "

I personally think that's one of the best things about the H2 , is its versatility ..if you want something that will exude class then it can be done in the H2 , when its all shined up with some chrome and nice big aftermarket rims you can't help but stare when it rolls by .....and then if you want to do some serious off roading , well its all right there to ..just some different aggressive tires and you'll pretty much go anywhere ...best of both worlds , can't really get that with the Yukon or Caddy ...just my thoughts on it .

Thanks for your replies, it,s really driving me nuts on which way To go. I want an H2 but I would enjoy a little break at the pumps with the Tahoe. There is also a slight concern as I live downtown Ottawa and only have street parking, an H2 would definitely get attention ( good and bad) and would worry about getting keyed or more.
But like I said I am leaning towards either a black or grey stone H2.. Choices choices choices haha
Thanks

Hi Scully, I am also concerned about my H2 getting keyed, that is why I have another car as a daily driver.
I think the best scenario if you want to get the H2 is to buy another vehicle that you can use as a daily driver....something that is smaller and more fuel efficient than an H2..........something like the H3..... <img src='
