A tragic loss

 The CanadianHummer Club announces with great sorrow

the tragic death of Frank McKnight  ('mudhog').

Frank died as a result of a motor vehicle accident on <st1:date year="2008" day="25" month="3">Tuesday, March 25, 2008</st1:date> atthe age of 43 years.



 Frank was born at <st1:city><st1:place>Timmins</st1:place></st1:city> on <st1:date year="1965" day="5" month="2">February 5, 1965</st1:date> to the late Alton McKnight and EthelOthmer. Frank worked as a Certified Instrumentation Technician for MarshInstrumentation in <st1:city><st1:place>Burlington</st1:place></st1:city>. He sat on the Advisory Committee for the Instrumentation Program atNorthern College Haileybury School of Mines. In earlier years Frank obtainedhis pilot's license for fixed wing aircraft and commercial helicopters. Heenjoyed spending time with the various clubs where he was a member such as theBullseye Club, the Astronomy Club and the Canadian Hummer Club of which he was OntarioVice President. <o:p></o:p><o:p> </o:p>Frank helped manyon The Hummer Network and Canadian Hummer Club web forums under his user name <b style="">mudhog</b>.<o:p></o:p><o:p> </o:p>Frank also enjoyedparticipating in Renaissance Festivals throughout <st1:place>Southern Ontario</st1:place>, scuba diving and geocaching.



Predeceased by his father Alton McKnight on <st1:date year="1991" day="23" month="5">May 23, 1991</st1:date>. Frank is survived by his loving partner offifteen years Ruby Ward of Burlington and his dear mother Ethel McKnight ofHaileybury. He will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends, andwill greatly be missed.  We extend our deepest condolences to his family,and to Ruby as well; he was truly a great friend to many as well as a greatasset to the club.<o:p></o:p><edited><editID>njlondon</editID><editDate>2008-05-12 14:37:01</editDate></edited>

<P>Very sorry to hear about such a lost. My condolences to his family. Although I have not met him in person,  I have had the oppurtunity to converse with him over various forums and from his posts he seemed like a great guy! </P>
