Im looking into my first H2 and I really want to start off right. I would love a supercharger sitting on top but ive read so many problems and not too many positive stories? Any luck after a shift kit maybe?
Anyone up that can relate either way?

I know one guy that had his supercharged, he ended up selling it but said he would never get a supercharger again.... He never did say why so I guess that doesntnhelp much...
Consider an 08... U get the 6 speed tranny so better pick up and better offroading especially with the manual shifting engaged which is how I drive... Love it!

The biggest issue your going to have with both the 4l60e and the 6l60E Is that across the board they are underbuilt, that's why the torque converters slip so bad from factory they can't handle the torque these engines make. I'm not an expert on the subject by any means but there is substantial info on other boards such as GMfullsize. The members walked me through upgrading my '05 1500 Sierra 4L60E, they have a how to on the must have upgrades.
Hope I pointed you in the right direction.

I have a 2005 h2 sut that was supercharged and now blown .It is on it's fourth transmission, and hopefully by early next week its third engine will be installed. First factory engine lasted about 10,000 kms .
After the pro-charger was installed . I had Cetus build me a proper engine built to handle a blower! They installed that engine with a Magna charger blower. That engine lasted almost 15,000 kms before it went. Turns out the
high pressures in the trans balloon and the torque converter. Puts to much pressure on the thrust bearings of the crank ! So away they go. Engine people blame the trans guys , and the trans guys say
there's just to much horsepower .So they of course say it's not their fault. They do build a converter in BC that will handle the horsepower at a cost of $1500.00 It has a billet face that cannot distort but they told us just buy a
factory GM rebuilt converter . As it should be able to handle 500 hp. Guess I will soon find out.I'm driving from Calgary to Panorama BC next Friday with an entire deck package on a skid steer trailer. It will part of the break in.It's a crate GM 6 Lt. No high performance up grades with the blower ,..so here's hoping ?!! If I started from scratch on a 2008 model with the 6 speed trans and 6.2 Lt. It would probably be a better choice if you want more HP/Torque power.
