So I have been faithfully working on everyone elses Hummer and my H2 has needed some serious TLC!

So today I began the list of repairs and some stage 1 upgrades!

Tonight I removed my t-case since I grenaded the Low Range and tomorrow night the new one goes in. Important Item 1 Done!

2. Once that is done then I repair 2 outer CV joint boots that lost their retaining clips.

3. Replace the 2 front U joints since I have them out anyways!

4. Install Rear Locker Bypass harness! Yep no more electronic nannies for me! Now I will be able to engage my rear locker in high, high lock and low lock as I please! Yay me!!

5. Begin front and rear winch in cab switches complete with front and rear wireless controls! (You'll love how this turns out!)

6. Make custom front bumper and install new 15000lbs capacity winch!

7. Modify rear bumper and install present T-Max winch!

8. Install full onboard air supply complete with 12 gallon reservoir and 50ft of 1/2" air hose with twin ARB compressor...can you say mobile repair shop!!!

9. Complete the install of the front and rear Custom, Greaseable and Indestructible Sway Bar Mounting brackets that Roy made for me.

10. Fine tune my ARB snorkel install to get a bit more air to the engine!

There will probably be other additions along the way but stay tuned!

And yes I will post pics of the different stages!

Later,

Kev

Jeeeeebus! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

That is quite a extensive list... I like it! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

I too like the onboard air system, I'd love a ARB air compressor, but my god they are pricey, I sure hope they last forever. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... rgreen.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

So tonight I completed the Transfer Case install. Everything is all in snug and secure! Put fresh AMSOIL Synthetic Low Viscosity ATF to make sure the new T-case is around for a long time!

I replaced the 2 front u-joints with HD non greaseable ones. The factory ones were done after almost 10 years of abuse! The new ones are a bit more robust and I replaced the grease with AMSOIL Synthetic Water Proof Grease. Now you are all probably wondering why wouldn't I just use greaseable U-Joints. There are a couple of reasons. 1. Due to my custom skid plate greasing them on a regular basis is a pain. 2. Non-greaseable u-joints are about 30% stronger that greaseable ujoints since there is no passages for grease the joint is structurally stronger. For my H2 Strength is important!

Tomorrow night I will take some pics and continue on the long list, but so far it is coming along great!

Stay Tuned!

I would like to know more about your OBA plans; where do you plan to stuff that tank?

Just finished in the garage. So now both front outer CV are repaired and then I remember that I needed to fix 3 air leaks on 3 of my tires. I have Staun runflats but since I run near single digit air pressure when I offroad I got alot of mud and other debris between the bead and the rim. I cleaned them all up and now the are holding air once again!

So then I began my mods!

While I was working on the CV boots I noticed that I could/should make my lower table bushings greaseble. I have Cognito Upper control arms that are greaseable so why not the bottom ones to! Since I already replaced the bushings with Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings I decided to simply drill and tap my lower tables. I installed one grease fitting per bushing and then tack welded it in place to ensure it can't fall out...and yes of course they are tucked up and out of the way! Now I have fully greaseable suspension! Every pivot point on my truck can be greased, front or rear!

And yes, I know I have to post some pics...first I have to remember to bring my camera home from work!!

Stay tuned!
