Hello everyone,

So my engine light has been on and off for the last two weeks (I hate that stupid light) with all the tech stuff on board, you would think it would tell you what's wrong, Anyway, it went in this am, got a phone call this pm, they need to replace the cylinder head. My H3 has 56000k, and I baby it for the most part, it's kinda flat around here. My question, has anyone had this problem? The only good news it's covered by warranty,

Steve

[attachment=3087:_DSC8285_resize.jpg]Yup, but i did not have any lights yet . Had rough idle with tones of misfires . Coils were fine . Had it covered under warranty . Also had a few favors done. They knew it was a matter of time till engine light came on . Cylinder #3 is usually the trouble maker . The problem is the heads failed to harden properly . The valve seats and or other areas of the head ,where the guides go. And so this means the valves were not seating properly and had blow by .

The issue was suppose to be resolved in 07 , but there are reports as up to 09 rigs having them . Well at least warranty saved you $2,500 to $3000 . Be happy and drive the crap out of your rental car . I did !!!!!!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... SMILEY.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />
