Fuel Filter H2

Post by Gadgets »

I was looking to replace the fuel filter, but I can't find it. Googling it pointed to where it may be, but if it is there I can't get there to see it. So my question is, how the hell do you replace a fuel filter on a 2007 H2??

Simple! There is no replaceable filter on an 2007!

Ooook then. Never heard of that before but some how doesn't surprise me. So how is the fuel filtered exactly?

The fuel is filtered by a sock(thick long filter) at the base of the fuel pump located in the fuel tank. Normally when this is very dirty the fuel pump demise is close at hand. Sadly the only way to service this filter is by replacing the fuel pump assembly. Older H2s like my 2003 have an external fuel filter just in front of the tank behind and above the rear most frame crossmember.

Hope this helps!
