2003 Hummer H2 keyless entry remote doesn't work

Hi everybody! Recently my keyless entry remote for my 2003 Hummer H2 stop to work suddenly. I put new battery inside but still it doesn't work at all. I don't know what is wrong with it? I didn't drop it or damage it etc. May be I need to reprogramm it? Any idea what it can be?

Are both your keyless remotes not working? Do they work if you are close to the truck? What about holding the FOB above the "belt line" of the truck (in line with the glass)?



Mine were both acting funny (one new out of the box), replaced batteries, etc. Replaced the battery in my truck (old one was bad) and the FOBs magically work fine again.

I have just one remote.I tried to point my remote at the truck from different points and from very close distance. Nothing is working yet. My car battery is relatively new so I don't think so that this is the battery.

Is it an aftermarket remote starter? If it is do you have manual from remote starter?

Most aftermarkets have a reset by turning key forward and back 3-5 times to reset it.



I would start with the batteries in the fob's first and go to the source for fob batteries great warranty on the battery!!

No promises it will work I just googled how to reset Hummer remote start and this was one of many.

hi, no remote keyless entry is not aftermarket. It's original hummer one.And I have just one of them.I am using right now my key to open my hummer so I opened and locked it many times. Should I try to open and close it several times in a row? I checked your link and it's very useful, thank you very much! I will try to reanimate my keyless fob tommorow and will see what can I do with that.

Hi, today I tried to follow 6 steps from e-how how to reprogramm keyless remote for Hummers. Unfortunately it doesn't work in my case. I couldn't go further than step 2. When I am holding unlock button on drivers side and tried to turn key in ignition on and off so nothing happened. It doesn't activate reprogramm mode in vehicle. So I don't know what is wrong. I did everything what it said in those 6 steps exactly. And I tried to do it many times. So something is wrong but I don't know what and why? May be you know guys what is wrong?

I wonder if it is a faulty hood switch does it look corroded?

Check to see the wires are still conected under the hood switch.

If it is fubar resets will not work I found that out on my Dodge. and no it's not because its a Dodge!!! lol
