H2 keyless entry remote problem

hello everybody! Recently I've got problem with my H2 keyless remote. It stopped to work suddenly( I didn't drop or damage it). I have just one remote so I cannot compare it with another one. I tried to point it from different distances or positions and there is no results. I changed also remote battery but still no result. Any idea what it could be? I don't want to go to dealership to spend ton of money to reprogramm it or to purchase new one. Thank you in advance.

A few things could be wrong with the remote. Was the remote working at all before it was opened? certain remotes lose partial memory after being opened and require a quick relearn.Try standing beside the vehicle and hold down the lock and the unlock buttons on the remote for around ten to fifteen seconds you should hear the locks cycle. If that doesnt work,carefully open the remote and remove the battery. Inspect the battery retainer to insure that it is still soldered to the three points on the circuit board. They have a habit of breaking free and require resoldering.Do this carefully as you don't want to overheat the board, than do the relearn. Also check that the battery is at least 3 to 3.1 volts. anything less and it will not have any range. If all that fails go visit your GM dealer they have a diagnostic tool for checking if the transmitter is sending a signal. If they are any good they shouldnt charge for that, we don't.
