Hi Everybody, I am new to the Club and wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Dunnville Ontario where I still reside with my wife of 6 years and my two wonderful children. In the early 90's when I was about 13 or 14 I watched a military Humvee drive across the TV during the Irac war, I was instantly an enthusiast. It wasn't until about 10 years later that I was able to buy my first military Humvee from Atlanta GA. Since then I have travelled the U.S. and Canada buying trucks, parts and anything related to Hummer or Humvee. I have owned approximately 30 Humvee's and I currently own a 1998 Civilian H1 which was originally a 4 door soft top that I am converting into a wagon. The truck is completely disassembled and I am in the process of doing the body work and trying to decide on a color. I also have a 1985 custom military Humvee that is the most custom I have ever built. Several years ago I purchased 6 chassis from Colorado and this body needed the most work. With much of the damage being in the rear I decided to set it up as a hydraulic dump truck. I cut the body off behind the two front doors, purchased a 2 man hard top and filled the rest of the body in. I purchased a 1991 chev pickup 6.5 diesel and moved over the 12 volt wiring and drive train. Currently the truck starts and runs off the keyed ignition. I just recently purchased an aluminum dump box and I am eager to sit it on to see how it is going to look. I am hoping to have the truck complete or close to it around mid-summer. I also have a 1985 Humvee body and frame which I am undecided what I want to do with at this point, a Duramax build would be awesome. First I need to complete my other two projects, I also have several parts as well. H1's are my favorite pass time, when I am not working on them or Off roading I fill my days working as a Financial Advisor with London Life doing Estate Planning, Wills, Investments and Life Insurance. I have had the chance to meet a few of the Club Members in the past and look forward to seeing them again and meeting more of you in the future. Talk soon

Welcome to the club Buzzz! Sure sounds more like a addiction then a pass time, a good addiction mind you but still. LOL I'm in St.Catharines, which puts me about 45 minutes from you.

Hi from Toronto our guy is an 08 H3 alpha yes its known as Black Rhino  as it journeys further from its H3 roots and into Monster truck HCV Hyper Capable Vehicle.

St.Catharines is very close, I actually drove back and forth for 1 year to the main London Life building on Martindale until I moved into an office in my town.  We also have an 06 H3 with the 5 cylinder in it and wish it was an Alpha.  The truck is under powered when you want to tow a trailer.  It is stock and doesn't see any off roading. 

You will have to post some pictures of your projects they sound very cool. For the hard top conversion have you been able to find a hard top for it yet? Are they easy to find without the rust issues. I have a hard top now that needs to have it's rust fixed, but really needs to be taken off to be corrected properly. Thinking about making a full fiberglass top or something, well anything really so I don't ever have to deal with it again.

I will have some pictures to post soon, as for the wagon top.  I do have mine already, it is really good shape with no rust issues.  When I bolt it down I am going to try and use plastic washers to keep the steel bolts from contacting the aluminum body, that is the biggest issue I think.  Metal and aluminum do not get along and cause corrosion.  As for finding a top, they are out there its just matter of looking and being able to travel to get one.  I will send out some emails and see what I can find for you.
