New... Well sort of.

Post by Injunfarian »

Hey All,
I am back, was pretty active before but left due to getting overwhelmed with work, family, and house. Now everything is settling down... sort of I am back and still have my H1 however it is in need of some TLC. Right now as it sits it has a steering gear box that snapped some bolts, and death wobble before the gear box went out. As well as weather cracked MTRs and CTIS leak.

Plan is:
Refurbish the suspension/steering with all new tie rods, ball joints(spicer), pitman(rubber duck XHD), idler(rubber duck XHD), bushings, shocks and fresh paint on the A arms.
Replace the old cloth seat covers with a new set of tan leather ones.
remove the MTRS and grab either 38.5 pitbull maddogs or 39.5 iroks and give the old steelies a fresh coat of paint.

That will be the short list.

As well I am in the market for a 2007(or newer) H3 alpha with child safety locks and low kms for the wife and to use as the family vehicle.

Welcome Back Cliff!!!

Since you have 16.5 steelies the Iroks would give your H1 a great look!

Thanks,
Yeah I already contacted Roy in regards to some new 24bolt 2 piece rims and some old MTR's my current ones are weather cracked.

I also believe the Iroks will give a good look atleast until I can get a body lift on my rig and able to fit the 42" Pitbull Rockers.

I hope to have it running again by the end of June if all goes well.

Thanks for the info, wish I could get an H3T however wife needs to drive it and that is the reason I am getting rid of my Dodge CTD is not enough interior room and too long for her, so looking for just an H3.

I'm pretty sure that RD no longer sells the XHD Pitman - there were a few issues with them.

I'm working on an improved set-up for the idler but I still need to install and test it. I'll know after Moab how it works.

Bushings are a big job, I should do them too.

Welcome back!
