Technical help available in Alpha section
I have an H3 Alpha, (5.3L V8) on the weekend I was stuck in traffic. Every time I went from first to second gear the truck would jump into second gear hard. The switch into second gear was so aggressive the whole truck would jump foward hard, you would feel yourself being thrown forward in your seat. Third gear felt a little jumpy but hard to tell, did not feel anything problem in fourth gear. No noise or problems while driving in any gear. Just the switch from first to second is hard.
Truck in already in the shop, waiting to hear the news. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen or what your thoughts might be. I'm hoping its not going to be a new transmission.
Hope its nothing major here is to hoping its just a flush!!for the tranny and a new tranny filter

it is in fact a transmission problem, error code shows problem with the High-low input/turbine sensor. Anyone know a good transmission guy that could help me out, in the GTA.
This is from one of the other forums . It seems fording can be a issue as the cause . <a href="http://www.hummerforums.com/forum/humme ... -30629/</a> Hope it works ok bro . Sorry no Friends in the Transmission world .

Anyone know a good transmission guy that could help me out, in the GTA. theres one in Markham and finch area, he's ex-Mr transmission tech.quit at the former and open up his own shop. he re-built my nephew's Acura transmission (cost $1400.00 not sure how much for H3) let me know if you still looking and going to get his contact# you can get 3rd opinion.[/quote]
Finally got my hummer back yesterday. A few parts in the tranny had to be replaced because they were rusted. Apparently water got into the transmission, not sure how tho...
anyways, $3,100 canadian dollars later its back. Running smooth and ready for the trails!
