Too bad!! Hard to find 50 people with 60k in these times. Bank won't loan for home made cars so you have to be rich or cash on hand.
That coupled with drivetrain option issues abound and no expertize in the area realy other than Preditor and a few others.
I failed on my end trying to put a deposit together. LOL
So with that news better start putting some parts aside for a rainy day!!

This is unfortunate news.

There is no mention of it on the official C-Series website though.

I heard it was shelved due to Saudi's ordering them for themselves. We would be building their military vehicles

there was not enough interest and the cost was going to be much higher then the originally expected.. there still is a chance for it, but not now.. yes all deposits will be returned..

all other stories are rumors, the cost is the reason, the parts and production is much more then expected and with the Humvee plant being shut down and sitting idle since Feb, it is hard to make these work..

As for the C-series site, you will notice that the area that used to be there for deposits paper and asking question is all gone..

and yes all out side activities from AM General have been cancelled, including our trip and all charity off roading events..

very sad news for sure.

I think a few of the military contracts runs to 2016 but past that parts may be harder to find or next to impossible. We all knew the day would come. What makes all this harder is the majority of 300,000+ military trucks retired at end of service life will meet the crusher and the vital parts lost forever. The good news might be if you actualy own a hummer it might be a good time to park it, wax it and put a blanky over it and wait!!

H3's especially alphas are fine for parts as most other than body shells are off the shelf GM parts from other vehicles some still in production.
