New to Hummers & Canada

Hey everyone. Moved here from the States back in 2011 so I'm pretty new here.

Just bought my first Hummer last weekend, an ’07 H3. It’s the 3.7 automatic so nothing too fancy just needed something for the Canada winters so I could park the Mustang.  But I thought why not get something fun as well as capable. The dealer is going to replace the windshield and brake pads so I pick it up this coming weekend.

I was pretty excited because I got a pretty good deal but have been a little bummed how the Hummer haters still exist in large numbers. Mentioned it to a few people and got that blank look when you say you bought a Hummer. Posted to my friends on Facebook and got a load of negative comments. I’m sure when the flakes are flying I’m going to care less what they think. With the Mustang all snug in the garage instead of white knuckle winter driving I’m going to be happy regardless.

So hope this is the best forums to help me best enjoy my new wheels.

Welcome to the Club our H3 alpha has always drawn strange looks and comments but neighbours love him as he clears windrows left by plows by simply ramming them out of existance. Other when they see him helping others become fans or just watching him do his thing like leaving shows by running over curbs and sidewalks. PS theres a show for HWY 11 cruisers every Tues at the Harveys on Yonge between green lane and Davis ( year end big show is on 15th at Uppper Canada Mall south west lots) good people great show and Rhino will make one of his last appearances in his present incarnation at the 15th show.

Welcome....

I like to spend alot of time In the states so I always find it odd when someone wants to move to the land of the oppressed and over taxed...

We've had a few discussions over the years regarding that issue - it is definitely worse down east than out west in the land of the rednecks.... I get alot of thumbs up, even had to help a little old lady see inside the deuce one time... That was a site! I have a 4 inch lift so she couldn't even see in the window...

Welcome aboard!

I was offered a job here so I took it.  Then got all hooked on a girl shortly after arriving.  So I'm here now.  :)

Yes, very sneaky.  LOL  You never know, maybe I can be sneaky right back and get her to move to the States but the way things are going down there I think I might just wait here and see what happens.  :)

Did you buy the H3 at a Ford dealership in Mississauga ?

I think I saw the H3 driving on Erin Mills Road last Saturday morning.....

That is slightly freaky.  LOL  Yes, that's the one although we drove it in the afternoon.  Apparently the guy that drove it in the morning low balled them and they refused.

Please don't follow up by telling me something you saw that was horribly wrong with it.  :)

Good thing to see that the H3 is back to the club again.......

Enjoy your new H3...

I like that H3 since the first day that I saw it last year at one of the club's coffee meet event......

Well I'm glad you don't have any bad news for me.  The previous owner seemed to have taken pretty good care of it and I hope to continue doing so.  This coming Saturday when we pick it up I'll finally get to look at the details.... and take a real profile pic rather than this dealer shot.  LOL
