Hey guys, been away for a while, but ive still been enjoying my truck throughout the summer. Shes tucked away for the winter now but I just wanted to shout out a FYI for yall.

The grey Stanadyne PMD's are ca ca :curse:

So when I bought my truck about 2ish years ago, I had it stall on me once in the driveway. Ding ding lights went off in my head.. new pmd time.
So at the time I ordered the "new bulletproof" grey stanadyne pmd, a new cable for the new plug on their pmd's, and kinda custom fabbed a overkill heatsink for remote mounting it.
I log everything I do to the truck.. Date and mileage.

So the life expectancy verdict is.

13,100 Mi  :argh: 2 years, 1 month and 12 days.

And man did it make me almost poop my pants when it happened! On the hwy at 4am total loss of engine response. Pull over, started back up. And it did this 3 times on me during my journey.
The fun this was, on the 2nd and 3rd time, if I keep my foot in the gas, and if the transmission stayed in 4th OD, the engine would come back to life. Woot!

So a new D-tech pmd is on my desk for install.

Stupid stanadyne :argh:

lol, i always carry 2  spares. it happend to me this year as well on 400 hwy. it was imbarassing stop since i had to be a center of the rush monday southband and barely pulled to the shoulder nevermind the fact that pmd was grey and it wouldnt fit the extension harness...i was very lucky having another D-box happen to be dropped in my glovebox since i never tested a grey one . i kinda wanted to make sure that i wont be hopeless in bad moment. my other issue was that failed pmd was on the pump and it i kept smelling my burned skin trying to release a a harness from a pump and wiggle it to the top so i could connect it with pmd extension harness and a sink...on the hot august day it doesnt want to cool down
